Rabbits Available for Adoption

Adoption and Information Clinics

Come and meet our fabulous foster rabbits! All rabbits are spayed/neutered (age permitting) and litterbox trained. Adoption fee is $50 per rabbit and includes a copy of The House Rabbit Handbook. Current bunny parents are encouraged to bring their rabbits to adoption clinics if they are interested in adopting a companion rabbit. Your rabbit must be spayed or neutered to be eligible to meet one of our fosters. HRS volunteers will be happy to help your bunny through that feisty first date. All bunny parents are welcome to stop by for lively conversation, problem-solving and free information!

Our adoption and information clinics take place on the second Saturday of each month between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm at the following dates and locations:

September 11, 2010 Arden Petco, 1878 Arden Way, 916/923-1082

 rhett

  Willow&Mickey
Rhett Bunnler is an active young male. He loves to dig and has been having fun digging and shredding last years yellow pages. He likes to be held and petted, but only after he has had a chance to race around and get his exercise

Willow and Mickey came together in their foster home and became a happy bonded pair that needs to be adopted together into a household with folks who will enjoy watching their antics and having them as company. Mickey is the champion jumper of the pair and has beautiful blue eyes. Willow is hiding under that soft, fluffy coat!

Ziggy&Muffin

Sophie

Ziggy & Muffin are a devoted couple. Muffin (the lop) loves being petted.

Sophie is a young female, was one of a bonded pair but she decided she wanted all the attention herself! She is very curious and playful!

Our names (left to right) are Mimi, Rosie, Smudge, Pudge, Oscar, Napoleon, and Peanut. Five girls and two boys. We were rescued from the same location and have grown up as a family (or herd in rabbit language:) Oscar is our fearless leader and Mimi likes to act like a mom to all of us. We are bounding teenagers about 9 months old. All of us are spayed and neutered. Our foster mom said it would be most unlikely we would all find a forever home together.....but that we could be adopted as pairs or more to very special homes. Thank goodness we all get along and take care of each other!
Ruby & Logan
Kyle

Logan & Ruby (on the left) are a devoted pair of brother & sister from Jasper's litter. They have great litterbox habits & are very friendly.

My name is Kyle. I am an affectionate young boy.

Paw Paw
Houdini & Tyson

Paw Paw is young boy who likes being petted.

Tyson and Houdini are a pair of bonded brothers. They are young, active, curious rabbits who enjoy playtime and each other's company.

Tiny Tim
Freckles
Tiny Tim is a 9-month old Netherland Dwarf boy. He is playful & affectionate and has great litterbox habits. Freckles falls asleep in your arms, is very curious, loves to hop like a helicopter & jump. She is a young girl. She needs a permanent, loving home.
Lacey
Olivia
Lacey was rescued from Grass Valley animal control after being abandoned in a home without food or water for over a week along with 28 other rabbits. Lacey is one of the lucky ones that survived. Olivia is a petite young spayed female with adorable curls around her face. She is a Lionhead mix and likes being held & petted. She likes to play with toys.
Grayson

Grayson is a sweet young boy. He enjoys attention on the floor. Grayson is very comfortable with the three cats in his foster home as long as they don't try to eat his vegetables! He has already figured out what to do with his litter box, but he likes a second box cushioned with a mattress of hay to munch in his sleep. This rabbit has already been neutered and will make a great indoor companion.

If you don't see a bunny who catches your eye, consider adopting from one of the local shelters listed below. There is never a shortage of adorable bunnies in need of loving & caring homes.

We are also highlighting wonderful rabbits who face physical challenges in their lives. These rabbits have especially loving personalities but need extra care and attention and often more frequent vet visits. Click here to find out more.

Area Shelters need our help

The Sacramento House Rabbit Society is working in conjunction with area shelters to find good, loving homes for abandoned rabbits.
