Penelope

Penelope

My name is Penelope. I'm a big, beautiful, spayed New Zealand girl. I lived in a small cage at a shelter for 10 months before I was rescued. I'm very sweet and enjoy affection. I keep my room very neat and tidy and I have perfect litter box habits. If I think you're not paying attention to me, I'll toss my ball and ring my bell toy to get your attention! I LOVE to eat and I'll stand up 26 inches tall to beg for treats! Penelope has a new BFF--Prince Georgie

Olivia and Skyler

Skyler

Skyler and Olivia are an adorable pair of Lionheads. They are very bonded to each other and are very affectionate with people. They were rescued from a hoarding situation and are patiently waiting for their forever home.

Skyler loves to run and play with his toys.

Olivia is a petite young spayed female with adorable curls around her face. She likes being held & petted. She likes to play with toys

Buddy, Pepper, & Lavender

Buddy is bonded to his brother and sister Lavender and Pepper. Yes, Lavender was so beautiful that his family thought he was a girl when they named him after his color. They were just 2-3 week old pom-poms in three shades of grey when they were confiscated from a bad owner along with their mom and 42 other rabbits kept in the full sun during a heatwave.

This little family was taken to a loving foster home where they are enjoying life and grew quickly into large rabbits that will probably be 10-12 lbs. when they fill in completely. When they aren't playing or being mischievous, these siblings snuggle and groom each other to show affection. Mom has been adopted now that her babies don't rely on her and we are looking for an adopter who would like to adopt all three together.

Many people struggle to form a bond between 2-3 rabbits, so this is a rare opportunity to meet a bunch already in love. If you would like to meet these sweeties in person, contact us or come to one of our adoption events

Phoebe

Phoebe is a special house rabbit lucky to arrive at the shelter while her current fosterer was at the shelter. Her hind, left food looked infected, so she was taken to an exotic vet right away. Two toes had to be removed which probably saved her from losing her foot. Our only guess is that someone was keeping her on a wire bottom cage and her long nails cause her toes to got caught and break.

Phoebe was a perfect patient and has recovered with no disability. She has a wonderful personality and is a playful, well-trained, snugly, and the perfect companion, house-rabbit. She will do well in a large space that is bunny proofed, because she is not destructive and enjoys lounging when she isn't playing. She will sit next to you on the sofa to be petted. If there is no room to sit next to you when you are at a desk, you will need an ottoman or block stool for her to get to your lap easily.

Phoebe is a smart rabbit with street smarts, so she will worry if you, pull her out of her condo, carry her, or take her on a car ride to the vet. She will do best in a large indoor pen or bunny-proofed room where she can come out on her own when the pen or gate is open.

Prince George

Prince Georgie is a special boy who arrived at the City Shelter in June after being confiscated from a terrible family that kept him and more than 50 other rabbits outside in the full sun during a heat wave. He was just a baby and adjusted well to his new air conditioned surroundings where volunteers came to clean his cage and give him play time in an excise pen indoors every day where he was finally safe.

He grew into a lovable, plush, polar bear and is about 10 lbs. of hugs! He acted a little shy at adoption events, but after seeing how much he loved play time at the shelter we knew he would flourish in his new foster home. He does acrobatics in his giant space to show his delight now. If you have arms that can stretch around this big boy to give him the love he enjoys, come meet him at one of our upcoming adoption events. George has a new sweetheart--Penelope.

Teddy Bear

Teddy Bear is a sweet, older bunny who has had more homes than most companion pets. He was found by a construction worker who kept him for the first few years of his life before his work changed and he had to surrender him at a pet store where we found him. After three weeks in a foster home, he was adopted to be a companion to another small rabbit for 3.5 years. Shortly after she died, the owner couldn't keep him and brought him back to his fosterer.

He has a sweet, gentle disposition and he likes to be petted. He is very easy to handle and is a good patient when he has had to take medicine. He would probably like to be with another rabbit if someone is looking for an older companion for their senior bunny.

Teddy loves to chew cardboard toys and fabrics too much and will ingest more than the is safe, so he can only have wooden or compressed and woven hay toys that take longer to chew or are safe to ingest. His teeth have to be remodeled by the exotic veterinarian a few times a year, but otherwise he is healthy.

Because he is older, Teddy lives on special drainage tiles in the kitchen in case he doesn't make it to his litter box in time. This special guy is looking for a home to enjoy his golden years, but he will be safe and loved in his foster home.
